Confessions of a Beverly Hills Cosmetic Surgeon

by alon2392 on July 3, 2008

Most of my Beverly Hills customers are vain which helps me make a lot of money. I in turn drive a $100,000.00 sports car and have an amazing house in Beverly Hills. Many people might not like me due to the fact that they believe the industry is for selfish, rich people, who just care about artificial looks. I understand the stigma that goes along with my job and why many people feel the way they do. They can turn on one of the best rated shows on TV, Nip Tuck, and get a preview of what it is to be a Beverly Hills cosmetic surgeon. The truth of the matter is I don’t dislike what I do and if I can restart my life over I would still pick the same career. Is it the money? Is it the power you feel when you have rich and wealthy clients? For me it is a little of everything.

The Money a Cosmetic Surgeon Makes

I clear about $650,00000 a year which is a nice some of money. I know cosmetic surgeons that make more than three times that sum and I also know some that are just trying to pay there bills. I know to some people this large sum of income sounds ridiculous. What about the teachers of the world? Well I tend to disagree and here is why. I went through 9 grueling years of college to be the best cosmetic surgeon I could be. I than spent three years more of my life making little to NO money just trying to break even working with another surgeon who was raking in the bucks. I decided to leave that practice and invest over $400,000.00 of my own money to start my own practice. So to make a long story short, I took a major risk as well as spent 12 years of my life making little too no money while the rest of the world was off and running into there careers. I also had about $150,000.00 in student loans and living expenses that I had to pay off. So now after two more years of building up my client el I don’t feel even a little uncomfortable of the sum of money that I pull in and I feel that I deserve every penny that I make. A little vain? Maybe? But I guess that all depends on how you see yourself. The life of a Beverly Hills Cosmetic surgeon is interesting to say the least but it did not come without risk and effort.
